Nothing wrong with raising that flop. UTG+1 most likely had nothing.

ahhh, those flopped sets...one of those paid for all my gauntlet running in CR :D
i always like to bet the flop too with a set and draws out there, to increase the pot that i'll likely win...make'em pay!

Them boys at across from the DR will make you pay for the flops though at the $1/2 game...it'll be $10 usually to see a flop, but sweet when you hit...poker and more poker, doesn't get much better...i've heard it told that some people actually go see volcanos and rainforests also.

Even if he holds Q8 and the money went in when he boated up, the stacks are so short here that you can't stress it. I mean if I only lost $14 when losing with a set, I would be thrilled. Like the KK vs. AA that only cost me $20 because of position last week I was ecstatic... nothing better than getting off cheap on a second best.
