The one that got away...

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this, but wanted to run it by you guys (plus I finally figured out how to use the converter, and I think it's cool...)... Did I leave money on the table...? Would you have just called the river, or raised... I was almost positive he had an ace, possibly AT, and I was all set to bet the pot (about $45) and hope for a reraise, but something in the back of my mind was chanting... straight... straight... straight... So, I pussed out and just called... He had AK...

I doubt he has an 8, but i probably wouldnt raise anyway. Its a nothing pot. You arent going to like it if he reraises all in. I just call and move on.

Nice flop bet. You played exactly like I wouldve. Most people wont bet that flop.

Actually I wouldve raised preflop, but if I was in MP, I mightve limped. And if i did and I was last to act on the flop, i wouldve played it just like this

Cool... I have a banner above my computer that says "If I play like Ice, maybe I can start banking like Ice..." Hasn't exactly worked yet, but I'm tryin...

As for raising JJ, I just don't really like to... I just find that most times, I get stuck in a crappy position, not knowing what to do when a A,K, or Q hit... ex... If I would've bet preflop, and he called, then called my flop bet w/ an Ace on the board, I would've been crapping my pants on the turn and river, if I didn't happen to trip up...
