I've seen so many insanely up+down NL cash graphs lately. For the past nearly two months I've been playing break-even poker. I cannot say it's been pleasant. Just recently things have started to change for the better. I mostly play SNGs still, but lately I've been doing 6-tables of SNGs and 1-table of FR NL cash.

I need to get out of my break even slump. I played in a tourney last night on FTP and went out in 34th place. 1904 entered. I got all in or put somone all in 7 times. Five times I had the other player dominated. I only lost one of them when my AA was cracked by QQ. Twice I was in a coin flip and I lost both of them, the second one putting me out of the game. A little better luck and I make 8 g's instead of $120.

After I was out of the tourney I played in two sngs, a 55 and a 109, and busted out in fourth in both. That sucked balls.

DSL has just made it to my neighborhood so I will have a nice reliable connection within 7 days. I CAN'T WAIT. I also can't wait for the US to decide to get into the online poker buisness and fill my fish tank back up, because I am getting pretty f*cking tired of playing at tables with five other winning players.

Table selection has gone to shit, and my poker carrer will be soon to follow.

Current bankroll- $8,359

My head has just not in the game the last couple of weeks. I think part of it is the fact that I am now gettting disconnected from Full Tilt at least once an hour and lagginng at least three more. I was in a hand the other day that I had raised pre flop, I got timed out on the flop, but got back just in time to see that I had turned the 2nd nut boat. Then the lag kicked in and I folded to a $2 bet. My connection at Full Tilt was fine until the last update. I hope to all that is good my DSL will fix any and all problems I am having.

In the meantime I am just playing bad poker. I ignore my reads and I am tilting like crazy throughout my bad stretch. I have turned making bad river calls into an art, and my continuation bets are just a way for my opponent to get more money out of me. Life is good and Christmas sucks.

I lost almost a buy in and a half today in an hour of play, and I pulled out some money to keep the bill spaid.

Current Bankroll- $7,727

I am running so good that if I flop a set there is a pretty good chance I am going to lose some money.

I have not been playing much, because I am still waiting for my DSL to start working. Two more days and I have a decent internet connection. But, in the hour or so a day I play I have been running all right. I made about $400 in 6 hours last week. I plan on playing a couple hours today, an hour or two tomorrow, then I plan on playing a marothon session when my DSL arrives.

I have been trying to quallify for the Iron freeroll at Full Tilt, and in three days I will have made it. It is going to have a prize pool of 30k, and I hope that the number of entrants will be small. I think it will be since you have to play 25 days or more during the month to quallify.

Not much else to add

I got my DSL hooked up yesterday morning and it worked fine the entire day. I decided I was going to put in a nice long session this morning, and I have had nothing but f*cking problems. I was timed out for a nice $200 pot with AA when I got disconnected on the flop against a maniac that had called my $40 pre flop raise, and my flop bet. Im pretty sure he had AQ for TPTK. I was disconnected about another 8 times in two hours. I am starting to think I can't get s decent connection where I live. I am still up $360 for the day but it pisses me off because it should be over $600.

UTG raised to $7 and mp villain called. I reraised to $36 with QQ out of the BB and the mp villain called again. I bet $55 on a 7 high flop and villain called. I checked a 3 turn and he pushed all in for $303 more. I thought for a second and put him on 88 to JJ and called. He had 99 and all the sudden it looked like I was going to scoop a $670 pot. The river brought a 6 which made a straight on board and we split. That would have been the largest pot I had ever won, but it was not to be.

Even though I missed out on that pot I still made $495 today, which takes my bankroll over 9k for the first time ever. I am on quite a heater right now. Over my last 3,500 hands I have made over $1,800. I hope this keeps up, but I know that the bad times are just around the corner. I will try to stay optimistic for the time being. Lol

Bankroll- $9,092

Holy SHIT today was bad. I got all in three times today as a huge favorite to lose, that would have been the difference between me making money on the day to what really happened. I lost $700. Then in the last half hour of the day I was set over setted. Then, that set over set turned into quads over quads.

This is getting out of controll. In 31,256 hands at 200nl at Full Tilt I have been on the losing end of set over sets 8 times and on the winning end 3 times. I am losing money with 99, 55, 66, 88, and 22. I am still making money but only 2PTBB/100. At Poker Room I was running at 5.71 PTBB/100 after 7,882 hands and I was only set over setted once. Man I am running cold.

Im thinking about taking a nice long break from Full Tilt. My next stop is Bodog. I can get rakeback from them and their bonus. I wish you could play more than three tables at a time though, so I will have to find another site as well. I sure hope I can get out of this break even slump.

The other night I went out and bought a half gallon of rum. I have not blacked out in over three years, but needless to say I blacked out this night. I was playing four tables of 200nl and I was up $900 in a little over two hours. When I looked at my stats the next morning I had played another 2 and a half hours and I was still up $425 for the day. My vpip had made its way up to 38% with a 26% pre flop raising. I then took a look at my hand histories because I had a vauge recolection of getting four cards at a time when I should have been getting two. In my blacked out haze I had decided to play a few $210 heads up sngs of omaha h/l, a game that I have only played in the BTP tourneys, and I lost in two of them.

When all was said and done I was still up about $200 on the day, but if I could control myself it would have been a great day and a nice boost to the good ol' bankroll. I love alcohol, but damn I wish I had some self control.

I put in an hour and a half long session today and this time there was no alcohol involved. I had one hand where the villian was on a bluff, but for the life of me I can't figure out what he was thinking. With the amount of strength I had shown I almost expected to be stacked when I pushed all the money in.

Here is how it went down and it was the biggest pot of the day.

Villian- 13%/10%/8 and I have 400 hands on him and I have not noticed anything out of line.

2 limpers in front of me and I make it $11 with K[s]Q[s] and villian calls OTB and UTG calls.

Flop ($38) 4[h]2[c]Q[d]
UTG checks. I bet $28. Villian calls and UTG folds.

Turn ($94) Q[h]
I bet $54. Villian raises to $108. I push for $53 more into a now $363 pot and villian folded.

I guess my turn bet may have looked a little weak to him and maybe that is why he made the move, but if it was me I am calling with just about any holding that I have put that much money into. I also thought he could have been floating me because I had noticed him do that to another person a while earlier, but damn what was he thinking with that turn bet. I don't know what he had but I did put a note on him about how he played the hand.

Current Bankroll- $8,866
