The biggest pot I ever lost

Postby Kalle » Tue Apr 26, 2005 2:31 pm

i dont hope this only looks like a bad beat story. I just wanted to post it. Villian is a regular. I have never seen him do anything like this. He went all in every hand. He had done this the last 7 hands, lost 400 in two of them with A3 and J5. Everytime he went all in he reloaded.

I was only 63-37 but right now I feel sick. I made the call knowing that I risked $800 I could afford to lose and that I wasn't big favourite.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $4 BB (7 handed)

BB ($463)
Hero ($775)
MP1 ($1843.45)
MP2 ($134.50)
CO ($1017.35)
Button ($288)
SB ($164.20)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with [Ah], [Kc].
Hero calls $4, MP1 raises to $1843.45, 5 folds, Hero calls $771 (All-In).

Flop: ($2624.45) [Kd], [Jd], [6s] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Turn: ($2624.45) [Jc] (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: ($2624.45) [5d] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: $2624.45

He reloaded every time he was all in. Like you see H@££inggol and other players do when they play.

I apologize if this looks like a bad beat post. I dont even consider it a bad beat. I just thought it was a crazy hand I wanted to share. The loss doesnt bother me that much anymore.

After the hand I talked to another regular in the game and he thought that villian was a very good player and couldnt understand why he played like he did.

iceman, there is a loophole that let's you double your buyin by pushing allin and then adding chips while you are allin.

I was going to post a complaint about a bad beat I took last night from a total moron who called solid bets on every street with zip and caught a runner-runner straight (He had K6, flop is AT5, turn J, river Q) to beat my flopped set. From an odds standpoint, mine sucked more I guess. But it cost me like a 25 dollar pot, just a teeeeensy bit less than the $1550 you're talking about here.

So let me just say for you: DAMN that sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!
