Vvllain is typical 25/1/1.5 break-even player over 1k hands. seems to be a bit of a nut-peddler, but has shown down a couple of odd hands the last orbit or two.



my instinct is to say that it was ill-informed since i only beat a bare nut low AND he was willing to fire two barrels. it is possible that i could have made some high fold (e.g., 2pr), but would a hand like that actually bet the turn and river?

also, i realize that i should have bet the flop, but i was focusing on another table. other than that, any other line comments?

I don't know what you can achieve with the river raise really, I don't see him folding much that he's betting on turn AND river, and a 1/4ing is surely much more likely than 3/4ing him with your pair of 4s. I dunno how keen I am on a flop bet either - I think I'd check this fairly often too. Probably depends on my mood really.
