flush call??

Postby Jarren » Mon May 02, 2005 8:45 pm

ok this hand just happened,
what do you think?

$50 buy in I have the table covered wiht $85
I am LP with K7 spades. 6 limpers to me, I call, both blinds call (meaning 9 handed)

Flop comes A 3 6 two spades. MP bets $2, I call, EP goes all in for $8. MP goes over the top on him all in for $25.

It is $33 for me to call the nut flush draw. No more action to follow. I think this is a bad call to make, but I really am not sure

results to follow

what do you think?

w/ 2 cards to come, you have 1.86-1 odds of making your flush, your only getting about
1-1.3 pot odds to call, and your probably at least 2nd best ATM so you will need to improve. It looks like a -EV play and I fold it.

This is a definate fold, I also dont like the limp with K7 suited, in NL you are going to end up in way to many of these situations, where all you have a draw and a good player is not going to price you into seeing it. I will play suited gappers 68s, 79s before I would play k or Q rag.

I agree... one of the worst things to be in NL is a chaser... you're only gonna hit 33% of the time, and the other two you're gonna lose you're ass... Also, I wouldn't play K7 in any position... The only way I would really chase that flop is if I had AK spades or a similar hand..., where you have TPTK and a draw
