Nice stats excession !

Enjoy it while it lasts is all I can say. I had a smililar streak in november & december. January has been very depressing for me however, you only have to focus and stay disciplined though, I know it will turn back up soon.

The inevitable downswing will come, which is why I never dare cashing out

Ais - PLO is in the 'If Jesus can do it' thread...I havne;t played in the last couple of weeks but maybe should (as you will see below)

Meh - well a true nightmare week.
Each night I would fire up the upstairs PC, start recording and from a player that was pretty much spot on in reads with a 36PTBB/100 win rate since I signed up to Ladbrokes, I turned, well, into Tuff Fish

Recording my play totally throws off my game for some reason...

I donked off 3+ stacks for 2 nights at $100, moved up to $200 and kept donking..it was truly horrid - obviously I had my fair share of bad beats - but there was a huge amount of frustration play esp amongst the uber-aggro $200 players..in some of the vids (now deleted) I really was starting to sound like Tuff Fish..

The only real reason I was playing was a poxy 20% RB for 10k player points to aim at before month end (worth maybe $120 max). My $250 welcome bonus is a couple of hunded hands away but I have til mid-Feb to make that.

Anyway finally stablised last night with a small win back on the $100's (downstairs well away from the recording PC).

My $2400 profit this month has now shrunk to about $400 (although the RB and bonus will put that back up to c. $750 in 200 hands time) - donking off 2k sucks especially against bad players...but it's another lesson to me never to get cocky or overconfident which for sure I was doing.

I will book the RB/bonuses at Laddies, pull $4k out of the roll and take it easy for a bit i think. There is a $50k freeroll I get to play on Wednesday for making 5k points.

I am not signing up to the Party bonus as I can't be bothered to play x000 hands in only 7 days. My mood isn't good enough at the moment.

Andy, you dont have to get the full bonus. You can deposit $250 and get $50 to clear in 7days at 10x. Sounds easy and those are the easiest $50 you'll win next month.

These past week has also been a debacle in Stars for me. I just lose a 3stacks pot when I was a 85% favorite to win the hand. Running running boat beat the crap out of me. I lost 3 stacks today and one of them was totallyfrustration play with TPTK. I called down a set for a full stack. Vilain played th hand very well. He made a significant raise that I shouldnt have called on flop.

I don't think I will ever play 37%. That being said, I'm starting to come in with more hands in position. Yesterday my big hands were position hands of K3 suited and J6 suited. Those hands are rediculous but I can easily outplay these 1/2 players postflop.

I don't care to put in any more hands from EP. It's too difficult to get paid off and it's harder to keep pots mall with marginals. But in LP, at least at 1/2, I'm going to open up a little more each session.

OK Update.

I did cash out the $4k and took all of February off.

Taking a break is really good for your poker I think if you are getting stale.

Have played 19 hrs of cash games (4700 hands) in March (and about 1 hr of SnG's and a couple of evenings MTT's).

Have been beating the $100 NL 5/6 max tables for 10.8PTBB/100 running at my usual 30/10.

I just played my 1500th raked hand for the month at Codepoker tonight. Between 1500-2500 raked hands they pay you 50% of your winnings as bonus to a max of $300.

I have won $606 :) - perfectly judged to max out the bonus, so that's the end of Codepoker this month and +$906 on just about the toughest site online (Prima).

I have also been watching SRugby's cardrunner vids (excellent).

My review of my PT Database for $100 6 max since November (25k hands or so) is here:
http://www.andymcnish.net/BTP/PT.wmv

My roll is still a bit below it's peak before my Ladbrokes crash and burn, but I'm playign very solid poker now. Aim for next month is to put in 2500 raked hands at Codepoker and pick up $600 bonus.. :D

I will also go back to my PLO experiment for some R&R.

Cheers guys..
