Along the lines of my OP/TPTK post, who folds Turned flush?

Postby MTPaid » Fri Feb 16, 2007 6:25 pm

Same theory here. Different type hand. If I had folded when I was sure he had a flush I would have saved 2 bets.

I suspected a flush draw on the flop. What else could he check then call 2 with there? And then the c/r on the Turn confirmed it. Slightly loose, a caller, but non-tricky player. If I had a smaller flush (65s?) I may have actually folded. Fact that he was in SB and could possibly have completed with 2 smaller diamonds.

SB 24/8/40
BB Only 26 hands
MP2 37/8/25

OTB [8d][7d]

MP2 open-limps, I limp, SB completes, BB checks
[2d][5s][6d] Pot 4 SB
SB checks, BB bets, MP2 calls, I raise, SB calls 2 bets, BB and MP2 call
[4d] Pot 6 BB
SB checks, BB bets, MP2 calls, I raise, SB 3-bets, BB and MP2 fold.

Can anyone actually get away from this right here or is that just too sick?

I called the turn bet
[Ks] Pot 14 BB
SB bets, I call.

Results:

SB had a rivered 2 pair. Kings and 5's.

Me neither, but I'm now wondering whether I need to be in order to be a big winner at this level now?
