Maybe Outsmarted Myself?

Playing NL 1/2 on PS...I had AQo early position...the whole table was T I G H T, except for the guy to my right...but he was BIG chip leader by 4.5 x me and anyone else...must be LAG, as i'd been playing 30 minutes...but had him pegged as a bit loose...I raised it to $8...i'm sure if anyone was paying attention, i was seen as tight.
Everyone folded except him, he called...flop come QJ3...i fairly quickly checked, knowing i was going to check raise him if he bet...the pot is about $19 i think...he bets $15 at it...i quickly make it $45 to go...he waits about 1.3 seconds and shoves all his stack in....
YIKES...i had figured him for AJ perhaps....not JJ or he'd RR'd me pre...i was very concerned about QJ or even 33 now...
Did my trap backfar on me? I had about a $100 left...
I made the sickening call for all my money...expecting QJ...(ever have that feeling?)
WDHH? (what did he have?) ( i'm still trying to learn...could i have played it better? if so, how?...thx for suggestions)

Bill... First, I'm not sure if I'd raise in EP w/ AQo, mostly because the people that are likely to call are AA,KK,QQ, or AK, all of which have you pretty dead... I'm pretty tight, but I'd probably limp, and fold to a big raise late... Then, if I have TPTK, especially if I'm the PF raiser, I will ALWAYS bet out the flop... If he reraised me allin at that point, I'd consider laying down...
After the checkraise, I'd call the allin since you have him pegged as a LAG, and suck it up if he had QJ, AA, or KK, which are the hands I would expect to lose to... most people wouldn't play trips that aggresively...

I would be even more likely to call if, as you stated, he is a LAG player... he could easily have KQ or AK... I think that if he was a tight player, I'd fold here...

But then again... I couldn't score in a whorehouse w/ a fistful of dollars on most of these borderline calls... So, take my advice w/ an immense grain of salt...

He had AJ and i took the pot... guess i got lucky to have read him right...played another hour here and his stack kept dwindling...he had gotten lucky to build up so high, and he gave most of it back when i left. ...he wasn't too good really, or to say, he hadn't read many books or seriously studied much.

IN about a week, you'll never want to date American women again!

That's the good thing about having a read on that guy, cause I probably would have folded... It actually wasn't that bad of a play, since the table was so tight, a good LAG like Palman would probably make that kinda move, representing 2pr or a set, and I think this may work enough to make it a +EV play... Don't get me wrong, there's no way in hell I'd do it, but...
