My biggest pot so far..this was fun :)

2/4 NL

I'm dealt [Ac][Jd] in the BB. Bunch of limpers. I check.

I have $585
My main opponent has me covered.

FLOP $24
[Kd][Qh][Ts]

Wow. Flopped the nuts! I decide to lead out here. I've been betting a lot of hands and I'm hoping to get raised. I bet $20. Two MPs call.

TURN $84
[Kd][Qh][Ts][6s]

Still the nuts but now a flush draw is out. I decide to bet again. I want to make it expensive and look like I'm protecting two pair so I fire out $65. Again both MP players call.

RIVER $279
[Kd][Qh][Ts][6s][9h]

I think I cried tears of joy when I saw this card. I was gonna lead out once again...but I decided that a lone jack may only call the bet...so I figured a check would get a jack to bet...or possibly induce a bluff by someone. Then I could move all-in.

So i check. Big stack MP (who had my $585) covered bets $125. The other player folds. I reraise all-in. He calls without too much hesitation.

He shows [Jc][9d] for a flopped straight. How he never bet or raised this till the river, I don't know. I still have no idea what the other MP player held.

Anyway...the pot ended up being $1279 and change. My first week in 2/4 is going incredibly well. Hope I can keep up my two day win rate of $233 an hour. LOL. I wish.

:)

Always nice to flop a monster and bust a slightly-smaller monster. Congrats!

very nice sir. my biggest at 2/4 is 1078.

It was my very first session at 2/4, after having just moved up from 1/2, and i was still getting used to the new betting incriments (they're a lot at first!).

I raised one limper with AA to $20, it folded back to an incredibily loose player in the BB who reraised to $56. this guy had called all ins twice (and doubled up) with AK preflop so far, so i decided to hope really really hard and push. he tanked and finally goed "i can't believe you bet that much with a better hand. You have to have AK, i got jacks. good luck" and called me. it was the first time i had even seen a gold chip in a cash pot, i was standing up and screaming at the computer "dont you dare put a jack out there you *** ***** **** ******* *** * ****** ****** ******** ******* **** **********"" needless to say, i was extatic when i won.

what site was this on? if it's on stars i wanna know your user name, i'd love to play with you sometime.

nice pot there. I was actually playing in barnes and noble so i couldn't scream and shit..though i really really wanted to. haha...i did pump my fist a lot though. :)

I'm playing on bodog at the moment. I'm dropping back down to 1/2 next week though. This is kinda a preview week for me. I have to take out a lot this week (i only do one cashout per month) to pay for moving and some crazy bills. I'll probably be back playing 2/4 in june though.

Vinny: Why are we stopped here? What's wrong with that spot?
Tyrone: It's too tight.
Vinny: Too tight? You could land a jumbo f*cking jet in that.
