Flopped nut flush with a couple maniacs on table....

Postby AlexMR » Thu May 19, 2005 11:16 am

I think this was a time to slow play but I didnt. I had reraised and the board was scary to bohth of them. I had been taking pots from them but I also went to a couple SDs that made me look bad.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 6 handed)

MP ($9.75)
CO ($48.41)
Hero ($16.35)
SB ($70.9)
BB ($19.92)
UTG ($25.85)

Preflop: Hero is Button with [Kd], [Ad]. SB posts a blind of $0.1.
2 folds, CO calls $0.25, Hero raises to $1.25, 1 fold, BB calls $1, CO calls $1.

Flop: ($3.85) [4d], [8d], [5d] (3 players)
BB checks, CO checks, Hero bets $2, BB folds, CO folds.

Final Pot: $5.85

Any Ideas?, would you have played it differently? I bet the flop because regardless of what is on it, I bet after raising preflop. I think not betting was going to be even scarier for them. We had been playing for a couple hours and they know me already.

Nothing you can do there... People are usually VERY timid about playing a single-suited flop... Unless one of these guys tripped, you were basically out of luck... Especially because you had the A and the K of the suit.. So, even if they had KK, they didn't have the diamond...
