I would call. If he has slowplayed a higher set on a flush and straight-draw flop so be it. He could very well be bluffing, thinking that you'll let go of an Ace now that the board is scary looking, or he is mistakenly betting a flush/straight for value.

Then again, I play at low levels against muppets so my advice is probably not very applicable to a table with multiple WSOP/WPT players at it ;)

But... what are DW and JA doing playing $400...?

Their tables are set at 2/4 NL. Williams at one point before my AQ lost to A9 he was at 2200 from 400. They are trying to get some traffic I believe so playing at the game that is most popular at the site.

On the turn someone could have made a flush or a straight, and you loose against both. I would definitely check.

On the river on the other hand, I really don't know if I would have lost my entire stack or just call. There are few hands that beat you AA,A8,A7,88. I wouldn't seriously consider any boat with a 9, because that came on the turn. He had the A7 in the blinds right? You had a very disguised hand, but his hand was even more disguised.

I would think the check on the turn, when the 3rd flush card hits, indicates he is afraid of the flush or has a small flush. I'm not sure what other people's experience is, I think a check on the 3rd flush card is hard to interpret.
