Yeah, this one guy, whom I cleaned out the other day when he was short-stacked, is starting to get irritatingly sarcastic about my not missing any blinds (I'll take my smoke-break after UTG, then come back in on the button--but, hey, $5 is already 1 BB/100 difference in my win rate).
But you're totally right about showing hands--a mistake I sometimes make myself but am beginning to break this bad habit. I LIKE having a tight table image, and when I feel like it's pretty solidified, the more perceptive regulars are going to get hit with my semi-bluffs.
Chip tricks idea is sweet. I joke around a lot between hands while observing, but I really can't project much of the doofus image. When I play a hand, it's pretty obvious that I'm just surgically precise--at least by their standards. But they call anyway!!!
