A Full house...tell me if I had other choice/moves

I had no reads on villain. He had been on the table for about 20 hands and is Vanilla ABC.

Party Poker Pot-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed)

Button ($22.5)
SB ($26.15)
BB ($21.23)
Hero ($33.81)
UTG+1 ($21.5)
UTG+2 ($25.8)
MP1 ($24.75)
MP2 ($24.35)
MP3 ($25.55)
CO ($24.23)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with [2s], [2h]. SB posts a blind of $0.1.
Hero calls $0.25, UTG+1 calls $0.25, 2 folds, MP2 calls $0.25, 2 folds, Button calls $0.25, SB (poster) completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($1.50) [6d], [9c], [2d] (6 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $1, UTG+1 folds, MP2 raises to $2, Button folds, SB folds, BB folds, Hero raises to $4, MP2 calls $2.

Turn: ($9.50) [9s] (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets $3, Hero calls $3.

River: ($15.50) [Tc] (2 players)
Hero bets $5, MP2 calls $5.

Final Pot: $25.50

I made the call at turn to show weakness, trying to trap him on the river but I was out of position and he hadnt gone to many showdowns and I thought he might fold to a raise.

What do you guys see here?

Just bet the turn, build the pot. If he has a 9 he is not going to fold. And perhaps you should make a bigger raise on flop.

I check raise the turn here, if you want to get paid off for making your boat you have to build a pot by just calling the turn out of postion, you now are only going to build a big pot if your opponant raises.

Hmmmm... Here's how I think I'd play it: Bet the flop at full pot, then just flat call the raise (I assume he has A9, but there are of course also hands that can beat you here). If you're going to re-raise, I think you have to re-raise seriously, and I'm a little afraid of scaring him off.

Then I bet into him close to pot on the turn, where he at least calls.

Then I bet out nearly half the pot on the river--kinda sorta "selling my hand." Actually, online that's probably a little too aggressive on the river. B&M, I like to keep them curious on my monsters--up to now, they've always folded, but I don't think they've even had anything but a missed draw or something they shouldn't have ever gotten involved with in the first place.

The guy beat me. He had pocket 6s.

I think I played it well. Just a bigger full house. Dont know about you but I am willing to lose a buy in with that hand. But it happened 3 times yesterday.

Bad day. The first in more than 10....

Later...
