2/4 NL

dealt [9h][9s] in SB. UTG+1 ($250) raises min preflop to 5 callers including me. His raise preflop doesn't mean much as he sucks and could have anything. I thought about reraising...but didn't like my position.

FLOP $44
[6c][5c][3h]

I check. Limped UTG folds outright, UTG+1 (preflop raiser) checks. MP bets $36 (full stack). Folded to me?

What is your play??

I raised to $100 and happily for me both players folded. I figured my raise could look like any number of monster hands from the sb...and i felt there was a good possibilty i had the best hand anyway.

Is this the best play? Any suggestions on how else to play this hand?

I like it mainly b/c this is the only way for you to win this pot. There are a ton of cards that could hit on the turn that will scare you. A third 9 completes a straight and any face could potentially hit your friend in MP. This was your best play. The only trouble is if he/they call.

As long as you don't mind folding when he calls, this is a fine play... It's a pretty scary board, and if he called, I would definitely let this go...
