Ice is probably gonna kill me for this one, but ...

$50 6 max NL on FTP. I have $56, LP has me covered by a couple of bucks. We have tangled over a couple of pots recently and I folded TP weak kicker to his big raises (both times to scary coordinated boards). He has not shown down anything but solid hands so far and seems very good.

I am dealt AhKh UTG. I make my standard raise to $2, all fold to LP who flat calls. He has raised and/or reraised with any monster so I really don't fear AA or KK for now.

Flop comes TTJ with 2 hearts. I have a gutshot with a str8 flush draw, but of course the board is paired. He bets $5 into the almost $5 pot. Where do you go from here?

Turn brings a blank, non heart. He bets $5 again (pot is $15). What's your play (assuming you flat called the flop, like I did).

River is the Ace of spades. He goes all in. Do you call?

I really was pissed at myself for playing this hand like I did. I think I was hoping to trap him if the flush hit or something. I don't know, but it erased about an hour of solid play on 2 tables. After a month and a half of crappy cards exaggerated by crappy play I was feeling pretty good (and am still way up on the $50 6max NL tables), but I have had 2 of these types of hands that remind me that I still suck (called an all in the day before with TT even though I was sure the other guy had a bigger PP - he had QQ).

I'm confused, you said he's in LP but he is acting before you. Are you checking to him or is he one of the blinds?

Tricky hand. I think you are right about Ice killingyou if he can. Maybe others think it is ok to call because at the turn I think you had odds to do it and the flopped call...uhmm I dont know. I think the best is to let it go and find a better spot. Bad thing we want to beat players that we rate as good, like you rated our villain. I dont know about the previous streets but I would have folded the river. Only a heart would have made me show my cards and its not a good move maybe. but yu said he is a LAG, not an eagle so, take your chances. I am following ICE advise of not getting into conflictive pots. Too many hard decisions!!

Where are the results??

Ohh... I see now. You asked if I would called the all in with TPTK in a paired board? NOOOOOOOOOOOO!

You said the guy had only showed "...anything but solid hands so far and seems very good." There is no point in calling! Easy fold. i think you were kind of tilting or your play was affected by the bad moves/hands you were talking about. You asked but you know the answer.

I think I saw you at party. Do you use the same screen name as here?

Sorry about the previous response. I misunderstood.....

Sorry, my bad Bri, he was in the BB.

Well, he showed down KQ for the rivered str8. I was ahead the entire time, well, almost.

I think I figured out why I called him down. I was 98% sure he didn't have a ten, and pretty sure he didn't have a jack. But rather than completely trusting my read and raising him on the flop (I'm sure he would have folded), I called him down like one of those kids that just love to show that he's right to everyone in the class.

I either have to trust my reads and act on them, or fold and pick a better spot. That is now a sticky note on my pc, hopefully the Sam Adams bottles won't block it.

Raise the turn when he shows weakness, if you are going to smooth call the flop, fold the river against nearly any opponent except the worse of them and even the worse sometimes :)
