How far up your ass is your head Knight?

We knew that the Taliban was harboring terrorists for years. We went to Afghanistan because it did pose an immediate and continuing threat as a safe haven and a training ground.

Typical left wing drivel. The inconsistencies in their arguments are indicative of their agenda being more important than the facts.

We acted preemptively in IRAQ..........Bad
We didn't act pre-emptively in Afghanistan...........Bad.

You canot have it both ways people.

I've even heard left wing loons claim we should have (and could have) shot down the airliners on 9/11 before they hit there target. This is proof to them that we wanted it all to happen to justify war.

Could you imagine what the left would be saying if Bush got on the air on 9/11 and held a press conference explaining that a couple of planes were hijacked, but he had intelligence that said they were going to crash into a few buildings, so we acted pre-emptively and shot the planes full of civilians down in order to save all the people in the buildings.

They'd be storming the streets demanding his resignation. You can't win when you are dealing with these people. The left doesn't want honest debate. They are so blinded by their hatred of anyone who doesn't share their ideology that they will say anything.

I'm largely against pre-emptive wars but I think that kicking the taleban's ass was long overdue, personally. I find it difficult that any non-pacifists could have major problems with that war, except that we didn't finish the job and help the country rebuild as well as we could.
