Yet another KK preflop situation

Postby briachek » Thu May 26, 2005 11:35 am

Villian is a solid player. Not a great amount of hands on him but good numbers, and no bad moves by him so far.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.5 BB (10 handed)

MP3 ($64.15)
CO ($98.15)
Button ($39.5)
SB ($47.5)
BB ($66.95)
UTG ($50)
UTG+1 ($25.5)
Hero ($99.7)
MP1 ($107.75)
MP2 ($22.5)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with [Kd], [Ks].
2 folds, Hero raises to $2, 4 folds, Button calls $2, 1 fold, BB raises to $10, Hero ????

I usually like to smooth-call in this spot, but if you don't want to be faced with lots of tough decisions after the flop, it's not bad to re-raise to 25 and fold to a push.

no, but i do feel guilty sometimes when I put a bad beat on someone as I feel I should play better than that so I felt I should say something, plus since I left after that hand too.
