Booking a Hotel in Vegas...

Postby Jossnaz » Thu Jun 28, 2007 4:25 pm

Hello

I plan to stay 5 nights in vegas with my GF. We look for a cheap hotel with a swimming pool (as she's a losing player after some hundred hands at 5$NL at stars she's not going to play poker in the casino.... and therefore wants a pool)
As i want to play the lowest stakes possible I heard I have to stick with mirages 1$/2$ tables.
I looked through some hotels and found this one within 1 km distance from mirage called sahara. I pay an average of 80$ per night.
Anyone ever been there or knows a better place to stay? it seems to me that 80 bucks for one night per room is very cheap for vegas, but i might be wrong. Friday and saturday increases the average roomprice a lot... i hope I get this money back playing poker these 2 evenings :D

Update: MVP told me about Imperial palace, it's about the same price and much closer to mirage so i'll prolly stick to this one.

greetings

Jossi

P.S: do i have to wear black shoes and a suit for mirage? I'm a student and well... i have a short chemise and thats about it - no black shoes nor proper pants.

Not shure about the pool, and the Mirage is a shithole sir... There are 1/2 games all over town and you don't have to set foot into dirty old Johnny Hughesesque Mirage...

I mean as long as you have a car, Sahara is fine I guess... But if youre walking, it's a bitch in 109 degree weather...

I'd stick to shorts, its gonna be like 110+ degrees. You can play in pretty much anything even family guy t-shirts
