If everybody was able to make a living off of their hobbies the world would be a much better place.

Sounds just like the Prima $1/$2 NL game. At least the short stack part of the story.
They even play the short stack strategy like that at $5/$10.

Yoga...there's nothin I loved more than playin the 1/2 at Bally's... The rope thing was a little annoying, like you said... they had a craps table next to the poker, so I had to listen to "7 everyone loses" like a zillion times... But, man the players are HORRIBLE... Not sure what was weirder: some dude calling an allin on the river w/ AK on a Q10972 board (other guy had 2pr), or someone checking a straightflush on the river (the other guy had an A-high flush...)... I actually asked the guy w/ the straightflush if he was waiting to bet out on 6th street... :D

Nothin like a live game to make you feel good about your poker abilities... :D

MVP dont you mean nothing better than playing with morons, in general. It usually does good things for my wallet and definatly makes me feel good about my poker abilities.

True Rhound... but there must have been a moron convention at Bally's when I went there... :D I know I'm at home when 3 people congratulate a guy for his "good hand" when he called a $15 PF raise w/ K5s, pushes the flop, and craps his way into a runner runner flush against another guys trip Aces... :D Hell, at least they were sooooted... :D
