Hmmm...I guess it's because I've always unchecked the auto update option because I like to have my ipod diff from my itunes. But, I never use the 'safely remove usb device'...I just disconnect it and haven't had issues. IMO, that auto update is friggen annoying.

Hey, this thread isn't for logical solutions. It's for crapping on iTunes.....the part that pisses me off most about it is that the iPod is a perfectly acceptable product, it may not be the best, I don't know.....but I love it, I just can't understand how a company could put so much effort into a product without making the software that controls it remotely functional.
