haven't had a hand like this in a while

2/4 NL

Opponent has $587..I had him covered with around $800.

I had played a bunch of hands against this particular opponent. He was a station.. he would bet too occasionly, but he only raised with a monster. overall..a losing player..but better then some.

I'm dealt [Qh][Qc] in the sb. couple of limpers... I raise to $20. 2 callers, one is my opponent talked about above. both in MP.

FLOP $64
[7c][8d][9d]

I bet $50. First guy folds. Opponent calls.

TURN $164
[7c][8d][9d][3h]

Well that wasn't a scare card. I wanted to stay aggressive. If he raised me here..I might fold. I bet $120. He calls.

RIVER $404
[7c][8d][9d][3h][Qd]

Wow. What a card. I think and think. Was gonna bet $200 and fold to a raise...but said hell with it and checked. I figure this guy is either gonna bluff big or value bet with a hand...that's usually what these types of players do.

I check. He moves all-in for like $397. I call. I just don't think he bets this big here with a real hand. He shows [6c][6d]. I take down the monster.

Fun pot.

It actually not that bad a play by him. If you didnt have QQ you probably wouldve folded and maybe should have anyway. If he plays a flush the same way, which alot of people do, you have a tough tough decision.

Thats why its better to check. If YOU push all in , he folds. If you are willing to play for your stack, youre better to check and let HIM bet the stack. Of course you know that, but Im reiterating it for others who might not.
