If you haven't already seen it, 28 Days Later is an awesome intelligent zombie-ish film (more about the characters, really) - well worth picking up.
If you liked Planet Earth, The Blue Planet (all about oceans/rivers) is great.

Second monk on the 28 days later, really one of the best (if not the best) zombie movie ever made.
Also... what about classic older (or at leats not new) movies?
2001 and Apocalypse Now would be my two all-time favorites, if you haven't seen them you should.

I haven't seen Spirited Away yet but I highly recommend Porco Rosso by Miyazaki.
