So my computer has a sound problem.

When I try to watch card runner videos, whether by streaming them or DLing them and trying to watch them in winamp, I am able to see the videos, but not hear them.

Now, I have sound for almost everything else - i can watch movies, listen to music, play video games, etc. But I can not hear sound from embedded videos. The other place this comes up is with mlb.tv. Not that I care too much about a lack of announcers there.

So please, someone who's far better than I am with computers. Help me out. I've been asking my computer friends for months, and none of them have come up with anything helpful. I really want to be able to watch these videos, and it's insanely frustrating that I can't. I've even tried uninstalling and reinstalling WMP11 in the hopes that maybe that would solve the problem, but it did nothing other than waste an hour of one of my days.

Someone more clever than me make an MSpaint consisting of someone shining the bat-signal into the sky, except somehow make it the MacAnthony/Low Dough/Nortonesque/Tetsuo-signal.

This can be caused when the video was encoded using a codec that your computer does not have installed.
