Curious to see how the smoking cessation is going throughout your trial. It's about time to try quitting again.

Interesting stuff. Maybe some of the beneficial effects you're feeling are from a more positive outlook (due to your "positivity" about the tea) and also (I think you mentioned) you'd quit drinking coffee? If you were previously quite a heavy coffee drinker I think the benefits of taking a greatly reduced amount of caffeine could be pretty major, in addition to any positive benefits from the tea.

I rather like green tea (when I'm working, usually) so you've piqued my interest, I may give this a try. For me, the flavour's quite important though so if it tastes like crap I'll probably be less keen on the idea :D ...

As he often does, Monk may have hit on the key element here. I previously drank too much coffee and got wired mornings, on purpose. I am addicted to coffee for the caffiene and the social aspect of going out to a coffee shop to read and visit.

I try to limit my caffiene to two cups coffee. I drink decaf after that. If I don't get any caffiene, I get a terrrific headache.

I know Green Tea is better for you. It tastes better but coffee gets me going.

The recent research on coffee, caffiene says it is not bad for you as previously thought, if taken in moderation. The research shows different results.

You can drink a lot of Green Tea and not get wired.

This is one of those deals where the majority of people in the world have believed in the beneficial aspects of tea, especially Green Tea, for thousands of years. Modern research says they are right. An old Asian quote from somebody said, "Better three days without food than one day without Green Tea."
