EP9 my response was more sacrastic... I don't know what kind of unbiased opinion you're looking for.
Unmotivated is defined as: Having no motive or incentive
Lazy is defined as: Adverse or disinclined to work.
So if you were to ask me, (which this thread is about opinions, not unbiased concrete facts etched in stone)...
You can have the motivation, or motive to want to do something.... But if you aren't willing to get up and actually do something about it (because you're just lazy). To me lazy is worse.... You can be motivated by a thought, but untill it's put into action it's nothing more than a thought or feeling... So if you're too lazy to act on a thought to me it makes it worse than being unmotivated.... There's plenty of people who maybe aren't "motivated" about something but when it comes time for action they work their asses off.
Then there are plenty of people who great ideas, or aspiratoins, desires, motivations, whatever you want to call it.... But just aren't willing to put the effort in to achive it.
Being motivated about something is great (a person can be motivated by an idea), but untill someone gets off their ass and actually follows through with it, it's nothing..... As a poker analogy: Plenty of people are motivated by the idea they can win millions in the WSOP (money is a powerfull motivator)... But a lot arent willing to to put the time and effort into the game to improve, maybe they don't want to take the time to figure out odds, or understand certain concepts because maybe they're too lazy to put the effort in.
So to me motivation is more of a thought, plenty of people are motivated my thoughts of becoming rich, famous, etc. But if they're not willing to get out there and strive and work as hard as they can to make it happen it's still just a wish.
