Should have bet the turn...you know that the CO doesn't hold a 9...unlless maybe he has 99 or something. He;s gotta check behind you though because he has no idea what you have.

Either way you still have outs to fill affter you bet. If he had AA he probably would have called and had the same result. In this scenario, he would have folded and you would have won...

definitely fire on the turn. you can't believe he has a 9 there...and it's online, so he can't see you wince when you bet. and as far as he knows you've got the 9.

also i like a flop raise w/ more teeth on that board. he only had to call $10 to see $37.50, and he's got position on you. he could really call w/ anything there.

I know the turn check was pretty wimpy, but I lost a hand pretty much the same way a couple minutes ago, flopping top 2pr, betting out the turn, and getting raised w/ the straight... So, I guess I was a little gunshy... I know that I shouldn't let previous results affect future plays, especially when they aren't on the same table... But, I guess I'm not good enough to take my own advice...

As for the flop checkraise... I was pretty sure that I had him dead at that point... He raised PF, so I was pretty sure he had a big PP, or AK... I wanted to bet enough to charge him to draw, but not enough to scare him off his hand... Thinking back, not sure why "me being sure he had a big PP or AK" transferred into "me being afraid he had a 9" on the turn...

Kalle... I would normally bet this pot, but I knew he was gonna bet, so I checkraised instead... Is this a bad play...?

If you knew for sure he was gonna bet, its not a bad play. But it'a a disaster for you if it's checked through because there are so many draws. And most players will not bet AK unimproved into four players. He had the nut flush draw - he should have checked (or at least made a real bet).
By betting out you build the pot and you dont announce to the table that you have a strong hand. Also, you take control of the pot which I personally like. And you can also trap the players between you and the raiser by betting out.
If you know he will bet you win $5-10 when he has AKo that you wouldnt have won if you checkraised.

Kalle... I think that I bet out my trips, especially on a board like this, about 90% of the time... I was hoping by checkraising, if he had Aces or Kings, he would reraise and I would get into a nice pissing match right here and there, and I was ready to go to the mattresses...

Maybe I should've bet out and hoped he raised... That may have gotten me the same result I was looking for...
