anywho im looking for advice on a hand i played today as i feel i played it badly..

now the question i have is how do you work out your outs for a fullhouse?? would i asume there were 3 outs for the 3 flop cards each and 1 for quads thus giving me 10 outs? (feel free to tell me im way off! )..

ok so if i have 10 outs i know that ive got a 22% chance of hitting on the river right? so i need odds of 3.5 - 1 to call..

as it was on the turn i was asked to call $23.8 into a $61 pot.. which is 2.5 -1 ? but wait! if i hit i know ill get another $13.33 when i go all in. so with those implied odds im getting 3.12 - 1.. im working this out as i go so yeh... as i said im still new and might be waaaay off the mark..

so if my understading of pot odds is doing ok.. it probably wasnt a bad call in the end.. there are also goin to be times in this situ when he doesnt even have the flush.. and i dont even need to worry

it is after all .5 NL at the worlds fishiest poker site.. ..

Your pot odds calculations look pretty much accurate to me. I don't think I would have slowed down on that turn though. Yes this time he did have the flush, but many times he wont and you will be giving one club a free card to beat you. You have to bet that turn and then you are most likely stuck calling his all in bet. I just think it's too weak to check there.

Your pot odds calculation is right on, though I think another thing you should be looking at here is that you really are calling that extra $13.33 too, if you dont fill up on the river are you really going to fold??? Your call was borderline calling $23.8 but when you realize that since your opponant only has $13.33 behind him you are really calling $37.13. This worked out for you but I still think the call was not a good play. Live and learn

The check may or may not be a good play depending on alot of things, but theres no way Im folding to that turn bet.

He has correct odds to call. I might bet the turn , I might check/call and I might check raise all in, but I would not fold.

I dont agree here Ice, if you are 100% sure that your opponant has a flush, you are a 4:1 underdog to win and that is assuming the other payer in the hand didnt have a pair, or 2 pair. If you think you have the best hand thats another story. I think the real problem here is play on the flop, betting $8 into a $16 pot gives your opponants odds to draw to their flush or open ender. Also on the river there is no reason to check, your opponant isnt going to fold but a good player checks behind after the board pairs. At least I do.

Yeah my mistake, I thought there were 3 callers. With a flop like that you need to really protect your hand, that is a very draw friendly board. I would have bet the pot or even overbet it a little. This makes your flush chasing friend pay through the nose to see his draw. Again learn here from your river play. There is no reason that you should have checked, if he has any hand he has to call, but if he is a decent player he checks behind you and you dont get his last $13, making your borderline turn call even worse. Hope this helps.

You played this hand fine, obviously a great river for you. Middlle flopped flushes like this are strong but at the same time weak, because they can be beaten so easily.
