Ice,

I am not accusing you of being a liberal. I just think that the mods who ganged up against him typically where the ones arguing against him in most of the debates.

What I find ironic is that you laid out the new rules and everyone was told to obey them. I'd like to see where Beavis violated them since the "law" was laid down. The guy has been on vacation and hasn't posted much, if at all.

I am sorry, but this smells like a lynching. I cannot believe that Northview is not being held in the same contempt as Beavis. He has made more inflamatory remarks than anyone inclding Beavis but he gets a pass. I can only assume it's out of familiarity.

I like BTP, but it disturbs me to see what IMHO is absolte abuse of Mod power.

Make your rules, enforce your rules, but enforce them consistently for all.

For God sake who perma bans someone on the first occurrence. Would it kill you if you had some sort of increasing penalty level. It's not like the guy was spamming the site so he needed to be dealt with in one quick blow.

Hey Mecos, I had no clue that I got you "livid" at me. I try to read your posts and understand what you're saying in response to mine, but usually I have to work so hard just to grasp basic meaning that any tone of anger or whatever doesn't come through at all. :D

FWIW, just to be clear about the "politically motivated" question: I'm probably the most liberal of all the mods who regularly post in the AG forum. I voted against getting rid of Beavis, and I tried to get the mods to reconsider the decision. This was absolutely positively not a politically motivated decision (in the sense of left wing vs right wing). The final decision was Iceman's.

I'm actually going to miss Beavis quite a bit. Maybe I'll find him at a political discussion forum and we can chat some more there....
