Ice, What is an adecuate VP$IP for shorthanded play?

I ask you because I play tight (18-19VP$IP, very similar to you ) and as you know I am winning for the last two month. The point is I cant win playing shorthanded. I try to play more loose and i think that is the problem. I will play exactly the same way I do in full ring and wait for the results. What do you think?

Where could I find detailed shorthanded strategies? I bought No Limit and Pot limit Holdem by Ciafone but it is not very specific in the shorthanded play section.

I dont play shorthanded because I think it gives a looser person an advantage over a tighter person. Im not the right person to respond. Hopefully someone else will jump in here.

I play pretty much exclusively at 6-max. I'm at 100NL and have progressed from 25NL to 50NL to 100NL. Hang in there AlexMR. I have gone through wild swings in 6-max. It takes time, and each level seems to have a steep learning curve (at lease for me it has).

I use pokertracker and I'm putting together a list of 6-max autorate rules which I will share. For people who have played 100 hands or more (with me), the average VPIP at 6-max is 39.9% with a 8.7% pfr and a total AF of 1.94. I'm sure that's much higher than 10-max. This is 80K hands for 500+ players at the min 100 hands mark.

My point is a 18-19% VPIP SCREAMS rock in an environment where the AVERAGE is 39.9% VPIP. Your opponents might be reading your play too readily. Maybe more check-raises or just general changeups.
