NL50 - 79s OTB mid pair + FD..

I probably made more then one mistake in this hand but you be the judges..

So, had it been limped or folded to me, I would have raised, then probably gotten 3bet by 3bettor and then I would fold..

This way, UTG miniraised, i called because of position and not really feeling the threat.. then BB 3bets, UTG calls and I again decide to call because I still have position, an ok hand and the pot is pretty big now... besides, I watched CR video yesterday (muddywater) and he was mentioning calling raises with this types of hands in position..

BB Villain is an aggro player whom I have on 70 hands up to this point.. he's 36/30/2.17/35%/57% .. i have a short note on him that he wins with weird hands and that I should be cautious when around him..

Just for info, UTG Villain is a typical Pacific winner.. lolz.. 54/15/2.20/28%/37% over 160 hands

besides folding to original 3bet pre flop... was it a good move to push AI on his flop CB here (thinking FE ftw)?

Pacific Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.5
5 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: $28.65
CO: $56.3
SuperHero: $105.7
SB: $57.6
BB: $60.6

Pre-flop: (5 players) SuperHero is Button with [9c] [7c]
UTG raises to $1, CO folds, SuperHero calls, SB folds, BB raises to $5.5, UTG calls, SuperHero calls.

Flop: [4c] [Kc] [9d] ($16.75, 3 players)
BB bets $13.5, UTG folds, SuperHero raises all-in $99.7...

Be glad your opponents refuse to fold; if they didn't, you just might go broke.

You are not getting enough implied odds from either of the Villans. I would think you need around 20X and position if you are gonna call with a SC. I mean you had position but you were only getting like 12-1 (BB) and like 5-1 (UTG). Thats not enough. this will lose money in the long run.

As played, you did perfectlly. You are a fav to AK and AA so I think you have to get it in all on the flop to make this play work.

I love when someone min-raises when I have suited connector/pocket pair type hands.
Sham, why would you say to fold to the orginal min-raise?

After the 3-bet you are getting close to 3-1 immediately and 15-1 implied on the big stack and then over 20-1 on the possibility for both stacks so I don't think calling here is that horrible. It also serves notice to the other players not to 3-bet you lightly in a steal attempt.

Against an aggro player in the BB (30%) you are only really afraid of a few hands (KK/K9/44 - 99 less likely) so I think you're flop play is perfect.

Fold to the original min raise cause your implied odds aren't good enough. If you really want to play the hand I'd personally prefer a 3 bet but I would be folding almost all the time anyway so its moot.

ya. he flipped AK and this donk didn't improve... had I realized that I don't have the odds to call the 3bet after UTG called 3bet I would have folded... this way (and thinking of muddywater's words) I called and lost where I was something like .50% favorite ;D

back to PFMR ... I think that if someone is even MRing with AA pre flop, I can easily call with 79 and fit or fold... miniraise is just not a raise (unless made on turn :D )

I think the call of the UTG is fine here with your hand, you have position and a decent read on the guy, but after the BB raises the hand you have to muck it, and pretty fast. Since you seem to not be able to fold the hand to a re-raise you really shouldn't be calling the raise in the 1st place.
