Belkin Router issue (trying to go wireless!)

Postby concussed » Sun Sep 16, 2007 6:32 am

Hi...Still trying to play Poker - wireless via my NTL/Virgin connection !

I rang Belking who said that the Router has a firewall stopping me playing Poker (I play on Sky, Pokerroom and Virgin). What I need apparantly, is some Port numbers for each website I play Poker at. (I do have 'normal' internet access btw).

And I can only get these numbers from a PCHelpline charging £1 a minute.
Before I ring this number, has anyone else experienced anything like this utter farce?

Open a web browser of a computer connected wired to the router. <IE will work>
Type "192/168.2.1" in the address bar of the router.

Check your manual for the default login for the router. (you should have changed this anyway, for security reasons.)

Once you see this screen:

Click where it says "Firewall" in blue on the left. <Not the links underneath it, directly on the word "Firewall">

Disable the firewall.
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.
