Poker is silly.

It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.

Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.

Too many people check raise from the blind with 2 pair. When I see that play, its 2 pair most every time.

Just bet every street.

As played, $20 and then $35 looks good..assuming the board doesnt go haywire on you. I dont like check/call on the river unless the final board is like A8279 or something like that where the middle cards start stacking up and then I might consider folding the river if he makes a big bet. Hes not going to make a large river bet with A6 on that board and he probably raises the big aces preflop.

The two lines proposed are:

1) Ck Turn and then get called probably everytime on the river for about 20.

2) Bet turn 20, bet river 35. I think ck/call river doesn't work b/c he cks behind very often.

I think 2 has to be superior because the number of times he gives up after I check raise is compensated by the times he still calls the 35.

I found it interesting though that there's no real sentment to have the LAG bet this hand for me. This is an area I struggle with and agree

"#3 pencils and quadrille pads."
- Seymoure Cray (1925-1996) when asked what CAD tools he used to design the Cray I supercomputer; he also recommended using the back side of the pages so that the grid lines were not so dominant.

"Interesting - I use a Mac to help me design the next Cray."

On your comments regarding option 2, TR:

Yes, he checks behind very often on the river, but he does call (or more likely raise) every time if he hits his 2 pair.

So, one question becomes how often he calls when he doesn't. If he still calls a lot with a weak A, then ice's line is better. If he almost always lays down without 2 pair, then I think mine is. Another question is the one you mention: whether he'll bluff (bet with < 2 pair) the river very often to a check. And your take on that is "rarely."
