The resolution settings are on the computer, for that particular card.

Try hitting F8 while booting to go into safe mode, and choose VGA mode. You should hopefully be able to change the resolution there and then boot normally.

When you installed the second monitor it should now appear under your display properties/settings (where you're changing resolution). When you go there does it show one monitor or two? If there's two you just click on the visual of the other monitor (they'll be numbered) and select the settings for it. And in the "display" drag-down box in that window are both of your monitors listed?

If there's only one on there then it's either you haven't installed the software for the second monitor or the computer isn't recognizing the new hardware...I assume. I'm no expert, but I got my second monitor/second video card working OK.

Ice, when the monitor is "out of range" when you first made that change, all you had to do
was not touch anything for 15 seconds, and the setting would have reverted back to the
previous setting.

When you told the computer the setting was okay, when it was not, you will have to
uninstall the Monitor from the Device Manager and restart the computer.

nVidia cards have excellent multi-display options in the drivers.
You can even have the choice of having the task bar across the bottom of both monitors,
but it a really long task bar. :)

Uninstall the monitor from the Device Manager,
Restart.
Install the nVidia drivers that are on the disc that came with the card,
or go the driver download page here:

Why do people use 2nd monitor for PT ?[/quote]

Gotta Do something with it.

And you can easily check your stats whithout losing sight of the tables. I usually run PT minimized though, but click on it to see how I'm running overall.
