how did you learn to smoke cigars? someone teach you or was it trial/error process?

Trial and error, and a lot of the online dealers have WIKI's and how to's to encourage you to try different products and brands.

Cohiba from Cuba or DR? Cause there is a difference.... I've only tried one from the DR, and much prefer the Cuban brand Cohiba.

And it's not that hard to learn... you light one end, put the other in your moth and then suck it.. but don't inhale (at least not often or much).

Most snobbery is just BS. The only important things are:

1. Don't use anything that smells to light it, like a gasoline zippo or matches (sulphur). Just use a normal lighter.

2. Roast it a bit before by heating (but not burning) the end. By heating the sides like this you avoid tunneling.

I understand Cohibas made in DR are not under licensed, meaning they are fake, but i could be wrong. You can find the Cubans here in a lot of places but the real deal (real cubans cohibas) only in certain places.

Is there a reputable ranking on cigars? I understand Dominicans have better ratings nowadays, wrong? I also understand there are some Arturo Fuentes that are the considered THE SHIT. I'm not an smoker but have tried a few of those. My short experience indicate that the cigars are indeed much better as the price tag goes up...i mean i was hoping it coulkd be like wines. You can still be surprised at how great some cheap wines are sometimes...
