In an effort to keep the 6-max forum from stagnating, and short game players from becoming lepers, here are two interesting hands from last night.

Hand 1:
.25/.50 Prima 5 handed
I'm on the button with [6d] [8d] ($80) and call after one limper, both blinds call BB has about $50.
Flop ($2)
[9s] [7d] [Ts]
Big blind leads for $2, I make it $8, he smooth calls.
Turn ($18)
[9s] [7d] [Ts] [2s]
I lead for $15, BB check raises for $40.15

My thoughts, no way he has the flush, calling double the pot on the draw with any hand except J8s A8s wouldn't make sense, and I think those hands would get reraised as it is obvious that I really like my hand. I figure him for a set or two pair.

I call. Final pot $96.30

Hand 2:
Prima 6 handed .25/.50
I half feel like a monkey for this play, this is not my normal approach, although the guy that called is probably more of a monkey.

I limp [Ah] [Qc] UTG with a $120 stack, two others limp, and maniac ($30) in the SB makes it 2.75, BB calls ($50), I move all in.

My thinking was, I have this table stacked, and if only the maniac calls I can't be worse than a coinflip, and he likely has 98 or 45 or something, he is tilting and might call with a hand like AT that I'm dominating. The limp reraise all in UTG usually means very big hand and 88-JJ in any of the limpers hands should fold fearing AA or KK. The rest of the players at the table seem to be respecting me fairly well as I haven't been getting cute.
