Does anyone ever get away from this one?

I thought about laying this down but just no way I could do it, he could be making this play with a lot of hands that don't amount to a flush right? I'll post results later.

I got myself in the exact same situation last week. I bet pot-sized on the flop (out of position), he called. Check-check on the turn (rag). I thought he was drawing, but he was a solid player so I should have known better. River was another useless card so I bet out about 2/3 of the pot. He raised, and stupid me called to see his nut flush. Very hard to get away from I think.

I'm moving in at this point. Of course, I play at Party, and this raise typically means the nut flush draw. If that's the case, you're a huge favorite (about 75/25, I believe). If he's got the flush already (and he could well be protecting a smaller flush if he called with suited connectors), you're not even a huge dog (65/35ish). So it's 2:1 to call, and you're about 6.5:1 to make your boat on the turn. So, if he's got the flush, it's not even close to right to call this bet. You've only got $50 left if you call, so I'd push right here. I'd say on PP you're probably ahead more than half the time to a bet like this, but I believe the play is better at UB. Still, as hard as it is to lay down an overpair like AA or KK, there's just no way I'm laying down top set on the flop to just about any bet unless the stacks were very, very deep and I knew the guy raising wouldn't do so without a very solid hand. Just my $0.02, though.

Yeah I didn't think I could fold and so I pushed, but he did have the flush and just as you said the flush was 9 high so he was trying to protect it. I did win the pot when the board paired on the turn but I was just wondering if there is any logic to getting away from this hand because I really didn't think he would do that with just a naked A so the only thing I was really beating on the flop was another set. Either way, I just don't think I can fold that there, just wanted to confirm that you guys wouldn't either.

there are so many hands that he could have that you beat and even if he has a hand that beats you, you have 10 outs to beat him. Even in the worst case scenario, you are drawing to win about 40% of the time.
