Worst Laydown EVER?

Postby MecosKing » Sat Jun 18, 2005 3:32 pm

Well, i decided to rebuy into the ole PP last night. And did i do what i said i was gonna do and switch to NL?? You bet you ass i didnt!! Instead i went and played some 10 20 and made what i mustve thought at the time was a good laydown, although looking back on it...GOD! I was drunk, is my excuse. GOD i hate these mizors! WTF was this guy thinking? i had him as slightly LAGgy but not completely insane. Needless to say, my read on him changed, but he busted anyways, which is not that surprising.

This story begins like any other great story does 'So I wake up to 68s, right? '

My only question... why'd you bet the river when you knew you could be beat by a full house?

I probably wouldn't have folded either since it didn't seem like any of them had a set by the turn, and the probability they would call an early raise with 73, 53 or 43 is rare. Also, the pot odds were large enough (about 8:1, $40/$320) to justify calling this down with the 2nd best hand. You only would have to be right one out of nine times here, as you probably know.

No way in hell I lay this down. If the guy has the boat, I go down in flames, proudly that I got beat. Otherwise, I might have RE-raised it. You're only losing realistically to 77, 55, 44, or 33. If they call with some other crap, Jebus bless them. I'd be happy to get 8:1 on that call.
