In the way way fuggin' back, a long time ago, I bought a mid range pro mac for graphic work. It cost about 5k by the time I was done with RAM and junk, it was about as banging as you could get in 1995 without dropping over 10k. It broke with in three months, apple sent some guy out who "fixed" the problem, and it broke the same way in a few days. I am pretty sure now, but I was new to computing then that the power supply was failing and causing some kind of surge. It took like 14 hours on the phone going unacceptable when they would disagree with sending me a new box. Can you imagine? Five motherfucking grand, the computer I had on my desk cost more than my car.
Anyways until now, I hear their customer support is much better. The last problem I had with my mac, I took it to apple after calling and they just fixed it, no questions asked. If it is under warranty, and there is a genuine duplicatable issue, I don't see what the problem with fixing it is.
