I found the cure for "tilt"

Postby iceman5 » Fri Jun 24, 2005 2:03 pm

After taking a bad beat today, I decided to unleash my wrath on a few unsuspecting low limit players.

I wasnt actually tiliting. I still had a very nice session and I almost never tilt anymore anyway. I might break something, but my play doesnt change.

I sat down at a $20NL table and started pushing all in every 5th hand or so.

J6? "Im all in"
A4? "Im all in"

You want to limp into this pot? I dont think so "Im all in".

The tilty sensations drained out of me and by the process of osmosis, I was able to tilt half the table.

My 96o beat a guys AT
My K9s beat a guys AQ
My personal favorite was my limp reraise all in with A2s and I cracked a guys AA.

The names that pissed off poker players can call you is absolutley unlimited. I kind of felt sorry for these guys. I mean, theyre just starting out and trying to build a bankroll. Hang on a sec...I have 85s "Im all in".

One guy said "Havent I seen you playing the $1000NL?". I said "yes you have sir". Another guy then said "You must lose ALOT of money". I said "I cant be having this conversation right now because ......IM ALL IN".

I built a 5 buy in stack before leaving. God Bless America!

That was too funny. I started to laugh so hard at work that I was crying, and my office mate didn't know what go to me :). So that's where those crazy players come from, who raise half buy-in or even better go all-in all the time. So funny. What about 25NL players on Party who don't have a lower limit to go to? I guess they need an account at a site with microlimits :)

A few weeks ago I sat down at a $5NL table on Stars. As some of you know, the Stars tables have the reload option when you are all-in. Well, I started pushing all-in every hand and pretty quickly built a $50 stack or so just by reloading and occasionally winning an all-in. A buddy of mine who was sitting there was doing the same thing, and we eventually both got up to $100 or so. I pushed all-in with AA and he called with A5, which doubled me up, and I eventually went on to have over $500 at the table, mostly through reloads but a nice chunk of it due to the fact that people at the table wouldn't leave and would eventually get beat by me in an all-in after I would double them up several times.

How does it cost them 2K if the other guy has AA? If they push in for 1K and reload for another 2K, if the caller faced with a 3K bet?

I thought it worked like this: You both have 2K.....you push all in then reload another $2000....the guy folds but now you have 4K (plus whatever small amount you got from the pot)

So you now have over 4K on a 2K table without doubling up.

It will cost them 2k if the other guy has AA because they will get called and lose. Well, they won't always lose, but you get the point. The other day I was watching a hand where it was folded to the SB who made it 80, and TC pushed allin for 2500 or so. SB thought for a while and called with KK - all high cards hit board and the KK held, so I assume he went allin with junk assuming SB will fold, so he could reload.
