Preflop: Hero is Button with [Ac], [Ad]. SB posts a blind of $0.1.
4 folds, CO calls $0.25, Hero raises to $1, 2 folds, CO calls $0.75.

Flop: ($2.35) [Ah], [Qd], [4c] (2 players)
CO checks, Hero checks.

Turn: ($2.35) [7d] (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $1.5, CO calls $1.50.

River: ($5.35) [8s] (2 players)

Final Pot: $5.35

Results in white below:
CO has 5s 6s (straight, eight high).
Hero has Ac Ad (three of a kind, aces).
Outcome: CO wins $5.35.

Could I have gotten away from that hand... no way; however, that's not why you lost money.

You flop a set... you have the nuts right now... you BET that. At least bet 1/3 of the pot. He called your pfr and he could easily have QQ or AQ or KQ or something that he'd play back at.

Slow playing a set is a bad idea.. WHY? Because its close to impossible to get away from it so you are very trappable. Makem pay. Sure some will fold, but they were probably going to fold anyway.

When someone raises preflop then not bets a flop that comtains an A I usually put them on AA. It's silly not to bet that flop.

Also, did he check behind with the nuts or why does it say he only won $5.35
