I live in Iowa so I'm just glad they are gone now. I can turn my phone back on and maybe I will be able to see one of my own TV commercials.

No I didn't go to the caucus - I worked last night and let my partner go. He was a precinct captain for Mc Cain and I don't much give a chit about any of them.

On the questions - Obama came out on top for me, followed by Hillary.

Obama has some appeal to me as a new face but I wonder about his lack of experience. Hillary has the party machine behind her so it doesn't really matter what she says - she will be a figure head for the party.

On the Republican side - Huckabee ran an excellent campaign. He comes across very well on TV. Unfortunately I am diametrically opposed to most of his positions.

The next few weeks are going to be fun to watch.

My prediction for December? - We are going to see our first black President.

Technically hes 1/2 white and 1/2 black. Why does that make him black?

Because he looks black or because its his father who is black?

Good point and he makes that in his speaches - "My father was from Kenya and my mother from Kansas."

Actually, one of the things that impressed me about his campaign is that he isn't running as a "black candidate". As one pundit put it - the biggest losers yesterday were Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton.

She might not win because of her ties to Bush, but the point is that she is the first black female to make it to the highest levels of politics and she is a very very smart person. I personally think she would make a great President as would Colin Powell who I DO think couldve won and might still be able to, but hes already said he has no interest in it.
