Prima TV tables

Postby iceman5 » Sat Jun 25, 2005 5:15 pm

Prima now has selected tables where you play cash games and the games are televised which includes the hole cards being showed. There is also an internet simulcast with semi decent commentary.

The games are delayed about 7-10 hands so obviously when you watch the hand on the net, it has already been played.

This is very interesting. Im sitting here at work as we speak and its dead dead dead. So Im watching the live game on my laptop and the delayed broadcast with hole cards on my desktop. They switch around to different games but you can get a read on these players very nicely by watching how they play.

Im not sure what the stakes are for all the TV tables but I know they go at least from $1/$2 up to $25/$50. So far they have only shown the $25/$50 , $15/$30 and some SNGs

The players in this $15/$30 game are unbelieveably BAD. I really cant believe my eyes. Its an 8 man table and I see 2 good players, 2 horrible ones and 3 or 4 different guys who are coming and going that are weak also.

If I wasnt at work, I might sit down and play in this game right now.

I sure hope they show the $1/$2 and $2/$4 tables so I can watch the guys I always play against.

You guys should check it out. Its really KEWL.

Wow, some of these players are awful. How is it possible to play at this high of stakes and be this bad? Are you guys watching this tgus guy? The announcers are making fun of him.

Edit: I cannot believe how often these players are mini raising preflop and mini betting post flop. The announcers called it mini raise city.

Apparently they must show the lower stakes tables at times or they wouldnt be there. I really want to watch those guys, but you can bet I wont be playing on any of those tables on a regular basis.

They really really suck!!!! It s NL$5000 for God´s sake!

They dont seem familiar with the pot odds concept. The most decent player at this time is Shiny1 and he sucks!! He keeps giving correct odds to chasers all the time. He has TT in the cutoff and raises 150, got three callers with crap! and the flop is [Ah], [10h], [4s] it s checked to him and he bet 200 to a 600 pot!!!

There were three more players in the Pot! He keeps doing it!!

Dont you have the bankroll for those stakes, Ice?

It seems like NL$25. THEY DO SUCK!

BTW, what is your poker alias in Prima, Ice? If you dont mind saying..

I saw that TT hand. I think there were actually 2 callers so the pot was $450 and he bet $200.

I have close to the roll for those stakes but Im just not comfortable losing several thousand in one hand, which is why Im content to play where I am right now.

Ive climbed the stakes slower than any other good player I know and Im perftly happy with that. I dont have a burning desire to be called a high roller or anything like that. Alot of the guys I "grew up with" in the $100NL games are now playing $1000NL regularly and thats fine with me.

Id rather not give out my screen name since I give away so much of my strategy here. When I used to post on another forum and everyone knew my screen name, I had to change the way I played against people who knew me. I had to bluff more and make more iffy calls because people know that I can laydown a hand.

That bet would give them 200:650 which is tempting to chase a flush draw, isnt it?

I understand your point about not giving your screen name.
