Apologies for a long winded post but I'd like to hear you guys thoughts on things.

I dropped another 4 buy ins tonight. I was down 5 at one point, so it could of been worse. So I'm now in the midst of a 12 buy in downswing. I had a chat with NV regarding my general PT stats and aside from me being a little too agg on the flop, and perhaps being too agg preflop, there was little wrong. Both of these I have adjusted for my last two sessions.

I'm gonna post up 4 or 5 hands, some of them are standard and I'm not after sympathy but I need to know if the consensus is that I'm running bad, or playing bad, or both. Ok..

Not much of a read here, this is like, the 2nd orbit or something.

Forkingood runs at 7/0/0 over 30 hands or so. Cryingcall is a typical sLAG, 25/20 type.

The nits cold call set off a blaze of alarm bells in my head that it was a nailed on cert he had AA/KK. The sLAG could have any two really.

This one is lovely. Villian runs at 90/80 over around 25 hands, he's basically been shoving preflop to no calls, limp shoving flops, making 25BB raises and generally being a donk. I checked the turn to let him bluff off if he had a lone Q or J.

WTF DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET PAID ON MY DECENT HANDS???

Anyway, there they are. I dunno wtf to do to change this, and due to the 12 buy in downswong I'm thinly rolled for $50NL right now. I don't want to step down but I may have to. It's ridiculous that I should have to consider stepping down but I may have to.

On a brighter, much brighter note I have a new poker goal. As you may of read, I'm looking to get away to Disneyland and aside from booking it, I have it all in place, finances, the lot. So, my new poker goal is to grind out the 50's at hopefully 4 ptbb's (that's a joke right now) for approx 8 months which should yield around $12k including RB. I'll need to take approx $6k for the holiday. I feel that this goal is very achievable and it really does give me an incentive to put the hands in and improve my game.

MVP has been helping me out on what to do and what not to do so [h] MVP.

NV, I appreciate what you said in you journal, thanks that was a nice gee up. I've always looked at MSNL and believed I have the game to beat it, and I'll seriously consider getting my Orlando roll :D to around $10k and skip the 100's completely. I don't have a problem doing this at all, I've played $100NL, I know what its about and what to expect and if as you say $1/2 is not hugely different I will do this.

That's why I asked about your win rates, I was trying to work out where my roll "could" be by the end of August 08. I think 4 ptbb's @ the 50's is realistic and achieavable, don't you?

I'm absolutely stoked at the thought of Florida, I'm going to book a private villa for the three of us. These villas that people sell on ebay are 4 bed/3 bath detached bungelow type buildings, with air con and all have their own private swimming pool. The thought of coming back to our own 4 bed place, with a pool and a big lounge and somewhere nice to cook a meal and sit outside to eat is just a brilliant thought.

Just what you need for the January blues. :D

On something completely unrelated to poker or even me, a colleague just retured from a 2 week break in Florida. 4 adults, 5 star hotels ftw, only economy flights mind and he ate in standard restaraunts.

How much for this two week holiday I ask, how much indeed.

He paid....

.........wait for it.......

.............you'll never believe this...................

$22,000.

TWENTY TWO THOUSAND FUCKING DOLLARS.

I actually heard a huge thump coming from the 4,000 mile away area of Ft Lauderdale when I told MVP this, as he fell off his chair and died.

I didn't ask him wtf he spent it on, 5star hotels DO NOT cost that much.

What's the hooker scene like in Orlando MVP? That may explain it.

Sure man, happy to help. I just think in general its best to take the straight forward line against donkeys.

Blufftards cant wait to give you their chips, and they will take any opportunity. I don't want to lose a street of value from them.

Heres some examples of idiots from recent sessions:

This guy is a total monkey - like 75/25/3.5

Another guy that runs like 60/20/2. Checking isnt the only way to get these tards to bluff

Here is a guy happy to call off most of his stack. He plays very aggressively, but I think i get a lot of value out of him. If one street here goes check/check I lose like 1/2 stack almost in value

Anyway, just some more ideas.

PS I run good lol
