Lay this down?

Postby iceman5 » Sat Jan 12, 2008 9:29 am

$100 NL 6 max at Cake.

I have [Qd][3s] in the BB. UTG limps.

Pot $3. Flop [Kc][3h][3c]. SB bets $3. I call as does UTG who is a big mouth fish. I dont know SB.

Pot $9. Turn [Ad]. SB checks, I bet $8. UTG folds. SB now check raises to $21. Lay it down?

Hands that beat you: K3, A3 (KK and AA obv but with no raise PF are we putting these in villians range?).

Hands that you beat: Everything else. At 100nl, villian could easily have 34s, or even trash like 73o. He could have a naked K or A, or have slow played AK and thinks the turn makes him a monster.

I personally hate hands like this because I'm not used to playing a hand like Q3o. However, I think you beat most of what is in his range often enough to stick it in here and see him turn over A3. If he slow played AA or KK in the SB then good for him. If he was lucky enough to have A3 or K3 then good for him.

Be glad your opponents refuse to fold; if they didn't, you just might go broke.
