Opponent leads $15 into a $9 pot, in between caller folds. I decide to flat call here because I think he likes his hand and will probabally make a large bet at the turn.
Turn

Opponent checks, I decide to bet $35..he runs his time to about 3 seconds and then calls.
River

Opponent checks again, at this point I've decided I have the best hand and am not worried too much about being beat but I figured that after a substantial bet on the turn taking the pot over $100, my opponent has to figure I'm gonna be willing to push the rest in on the river when he makes that call.
I decide to move all in for my remaining $97, opponent thinks forever and folds.
He proceeds to go on about how he had AJ and he knows he had me but he couldn't call or some crap like that.
So the question is, if you decide that your hand is good, how much should I have bet on the river? I really honestly thought that he would call the all-in on the river but I'm not sure in hindsight that it was the right play, after calling $35 on the turn, he couldn't possibly have folded for another $35, or even $50 really. What do you think?
