I remember, way back in the day, I used to play this game called "Strategic Conquest" on my Mac Classic. 1991 I believe it was, give or take. Oh the good old days. Before that, on the college VAX system, there was a similar game, I believe it was called "Empire."
Both games were super-duper simple strategy wargames. No graphics to speak of, just cities ("O") producing units ("A" "F" etc.) that move and conquer more cities and attack each other's units. (Actually I think there may have been ubersimple graphics in Strategic Conquest.) One unit per square. Basic stuff.
For some reason I'm desperate to play a game like that again.
Apparently strategic conquest still exists but only for the Mac, and I'm a PC guy. And I can't find anything similar for Windows. I've googled some stuff and come up with a few games, but they're all complicated and shit. I don't want to learn a ton of new commands or anything, just simple interface, etc.
Any help?
