Limping with AT... weak fold on the flop?

Postby Stoneburg » Wed Jun 29, 2005 2:26 pm

All the actors have around a normal buy in. Table is loose and not too aggressive.

mr_ewing : Folds
katieogrady : Calls for 0.20
micktoo : Calls for 0.20
Majority : Folds
Knegoffs : Folds
plicks : Folds
Stoneburg : Calls for 0.20 [Ac] [Th]
elanders : Folds
Sluggern : Checks

Flop $ 0.90 [2c] [7h] [Ad]
------------------
Sluggern : Checks
katieogrady : Bets 0.60
micktoo : Calls for 0.60
Stoneburg : Folds

I have no read on better who is new to the table. The caller however, open-limped AK in LP earlier, and just cold-called my flop and turn bets (I had Ax in the blind and flopped the Ace), then made a small valuebet on the river. That is however not what I am concerned about, my main concern is that there are no draws, the flop is completely dry.

Good fold or weak?

I fold that every time. AT is a weak hand and if you dont fold when theres a bet AND call on a board with no draws, you will wish you did. If you cant fold that, dont play AT.

Of course you could raise in certain situaions, but i would never call there.
