This is almost worse than a bad beat !

Postby Cooper » Fri Feb 08, 2008 2:55 am

I call the all in as a slight dog, still it feels like the worst bad beat I have taken in awhile and it tilted me to the point where I 4 bet shoved AQo into his KK the next round (he 4 bet me to 350 and I shoved AQo). I don't think it's horrible given how he played this first hand.

I can feel my blood pressure going up as I read this hand again, what the FUCK is he thinking... jeeses I have his range crushed completely most of the time. It would have been ok if he shoved with TT,JJ,QQ and I lost but it just tilts me like crazy seeing donk play like this getting rewarded with $1000.

Not that I am defending his play but...

He was the one who pushed. If you had pushed and he had called with 33, it would have been a lot worse. He's obviously hoping to make you fold TT-QQ and... well, it turned out well for him. Frankly, I'm not sure I call that push with AK if I have your hand, it's very read dependant.

You can't 3-bet and fold AK in an aggro game IMO.

[ ] Got the money in ahead.
Poker is silly.

It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.

Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.
