Yeah there is a huge taboo for bluffing on BTP.
Your range shouldn't always consists of value bets on the turn/river.
Also, just because a bluff is -EV does not mean it's bad (from a purely mathematical perspective, I'm not talking about creating a table image).
So if you want to argue he won't fold 40% of the time or whatever you need to make a triple barrel here worthwhile, fine. I don't really agree with that (I think it's close), but if you're playing on full tilt or stars against other regulars not bluffing a decent fraction of the time allows the regulars to beat you and makes you extremely easy to play agianst.
The better player should win the race. Always.
